This study is based on the existence of problems with the lecturer attendance information system in the Informatics Engineering Study Program that uses fingerprints that are directly connected to the system that can only display attendance status in the form of hours of entry and hours of departure as well as displaying lecturer data that is limited to the employee's name and identity number. The current reporting system is still done manually on each specific date by downloading data onto a fingerprint machine and then printed for reporting. This is less efficient because it requires time and is also prone to fraud so it needs to be built that can report the presence of lecturers and staff directly to those in need. This study aims to design and build an Information System that is useful for displaying information about the lecturer attendance status, attendance information, absences recapitulation, and lecturer assessments based on monthly absence's recapitulation, as well as more informative lecturer data compared to existing systems in the Engineering Study Program Informatics It is expected that this system can facilitate the Informatics Engineering Study Program in managing attendance systems of lecturers and be able to display lecturer attendance activity data both daily, weekly and monthly. The system was built using PHP, HTML and JavaScript as the main programming language and was built with the waterfall model as a method of system development. The system is tested using the black box method and for testing the user interface will be used subjectively testing using the Mean Opinion Score (MOS) by involving several respondents from the Informatics Engineering Study Program as many as 10 lecturers and staff as respondents.
