Implementasi Tunneling L2TP dengan Protokol BGP sebagai Backup Jaringan Bank NTB Syariah Menggunakan Simulator GNS3

Bank NTB Syariah Mataram is a bank that applies a network in the banking process. Network that used is BGP and ISP
as provider. BGP is required to exchange information between routers for managing network security and ISP as third
part in backup transmission. BGP has disadvantage that not respond automatically when there is a downtime and the
administrators manually configure it to repair the network. It is necessary to swing over network or network can
automatically to the backup link. L2TP can be combined with BGP for a solution that can be used to solve manual swing
over network problems in this case because of tunneling protocol. This study is to develop a method and solve manual
swing over using BGP protocol and L2TP tunneling method. GNS3 as a simulator that used in this research and to know
the performance of L2TP tunneling with BGP protocol as a network backup.Testing parameters that used are Quality of
service such as delay, jitter, packet loss and throughput as the test indicators. The Qos testing process carried out
obtained an average test value of delay of 0.07064, jitter of 0.0065669, throughput of 47% and packet loss of 0 or none.
